GMR tech was also hidden in football boots in Adidas stores worldwide, for customers to find.
To tap into the competitive culture of gaming, each day new challenges were set on the app, seeing players compete alongside football players and influencers.
Jacquard by Google powered the technology, measuring kicks, shot power, distance and speed.
